Environmental, Health & Safety Manager (EH&S)

In GeneralThe candidate we choose will be well-versed in Federal and California OSHA standards with a proven track record of facilitating all aspects of organizational need, i.e., routine, proactive and responsive.Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and instill a high degree of professionalism and work pride throughout the shop floor up to executive level.Excellent communicator, with strong leadership and coaching skills.History of effective planning, priority setting and problem solving; analytical and quantitative skills.SpecificallyTo lead in the development and delivery of 100% legal compliance at all facility locations including environmental and safety audits in cooperation with all existing personnel, third party advisers and other stakeholders.Provide assistance to local teams in response to EH&S related questionnaires /inquiries etc., from customers and other third parties as they relate to EH&S.Oversight of general compliance and administration of environmental permits, air, water and waste environmental requirements, CAL OSHA Regulations, basic training, safety observations and accident investigation.Ongoing development of Company’s Safety Policies (in conjunction with guidance produced by parent company), ensuring visibility and comprehension within each workplace.Monitor, evaluate and review new and existing local, state and federal Safety legislation to ensure all systems and practices in place are legally compliant.Collaborate with management team to identify training needs of all relevant personnel; deliver safety training to relevant employees and/or to engage with specialist training providers to ensure EH&S training delivery.Continual assessment of operations and premises and identify areas for improvement, and develop new policies and/or systems of work to address these relevant to EH&S.Provide management team with accurate and timely delivery of EH&S related corporate data as needed; collaborate with local and corporate team members to identify, set, monitor and report upon agreed EH&S performance metrics, objectives and recommendations in conjunction with appropriate management, based on proactive and reactive measurement standards.Provide over site of regular safety meetings, documentation and action items.
