Quality Compliance Manager

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading teams of Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors who together support the planning, manufacture and test of advanced composite structures for aerospace applications. The Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining a robust Quality Management System including certifications for both AS9100 and NADCAP processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Communicate, manage and achieve site tactical objectives as they relate to the Quality function.Promote a culture of continuous improvement, inclusive teamwork and disciplined root cause problem solving.Provide cross-functional leadership by facilitating collaboration between various departments, including Engineering, Operations and Program Management. Engage directly to find real-time solutions to internal constraints and manage/mitigate risks to external customer needsProactively strengthen the Quality teams through the performance management process, including individual and group goal setting, coaching and personnel developmentLead the Quality Engineering and Quality Inspection teams in providing products and services to customers that address all quality requirements flowed via contracts, statements of work, drawings and specifications.Accountable for maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System including AS9100 and NADCAP certifications. Work with customers and engineering to alleviate problems while avoiding product cost increases.Responsible to collect, analyze and report performance metric data, facilitates a process for determining root causes and drives implementation of corrective actions.Monitor manufacturing processes through periodic audits and evaluations to ensure processes are followed and improved to prevent product and process nonconformities.BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience in an aerospace composite parts manufacturing environment is required, NADCAP composites and NDT-UT process familiarity is a strong plus.Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and inspection techniques and dimensional procedures.Experience in Lean Six Sigma methods with evidence of application is required.Bachelor's degree in in a relevant field with 5 years of AS9100 experience or 10 years of AS9100 experience with no degree.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies in a fast-paced aerospace parts production environment.Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of company personnel, suppliers and customers.Familiarity of tooling control, M&TE and configuration control and change management are required. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Ability to speak effectively before groups of management and employees.Highly organized and detail oriented; with excellent time management skills.Proficient with MS Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.Knowledge of SAP is a strong plus. PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Able to work extended hours when required.Able to travel by air or ground as required.Must be able to move about an industrial setting and wearing of personal protective equipment typically required in a manufacturing environment.Ability to lift and carry on occasion and for short distances up to 20 lbs. ITAR RequirementThis position requires the use of information which is subject to compliance with International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR).
